I've been working on expanding my studio skills and wanted to try some special effects.  I captured this shot of Dave utilizing a softbox and high shutter speed.  A light meter is a must for these kinds of shots!

Kids at Play

A tilt shift capture of a friend's two boys playing in a section of a botanical garden in Kansas City.  They were really active so trying to get them to pose was not going to happen.  Instead, I opted to follow them around and shoot photos while they were playing.

Carnival

Extended exposure captured at dusk during the annual Dogwood Festival in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Bellagio Fountains

Here's a shot of the beautiful fountains at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.  The hotels provide a gorgeous backdrop for the fountains.

Sunset on the Vegas Strip

I caught this shot of the Las Vegas Strip as the sun began to set.  The sky was gorgeous and the clouds cast beautiful contrasting shadows on the landscape.

Diamond Head 2

Here's a shot of Diamond Head from the beach at our Hotel.  So beautiful!

Diamond Head

I snapped a shot of Diamond Head in Waikiki on a walk along the beach one afternoon.  The sun was directly overhead so I didn't expect much from this shot.  However, it made the water look especially green.  I loved the shot once I saw it and decided it was a keeper!
