Chinaman's Hat

We drove up to the north shore and I captured this shot of "Chinaman's Hat".  It's a small basalt island named for the shape of the straw hats that used to be worn by Chinese immigrants.  Its actual name is Mokoli'i and you can actually get to it by kayak, surfboard, swimming, etc.  The water is only about 4 feet deep on the west side from the Kualoa shore.  However, beware!  Sharks are known to frequent the waters around the island, especially in the mornings.  I took a nice shot of Dave with the island in the background.
